Can You Say Personal Assistant? April 30, 2007
Posted by *christuttle* in : tuttle says... , trackbackI’m reminded lately of someone who once told me how Alan Cumming has a personal assistant who organizes all his photos for him. I’m jealous.
It’s not like I can just snap a photo and put it online. I’ve got to review, crop, delete, and sometimes fix-up said photos before being made public, or you, you, you, and you would most likely kill me. Or at least complain for the next couple months about how you “hate that one photo.” And don’t get me wrong, I’m the same way, so I’m not complaining. I’m just saying, it takes time. Coupled with everything else going on in my life, including some new projects I’ve been working on, to say I was “behind” in uploading photos would be an understatement.
Truth be told; I have photos from events going back 3 months now that I’ve yet to upload. 3 months!!! I’m embarrassed to say this, but there are about 400 photos from at least 14 events going back as early as March 16, 2007. Sigh. And then–as those who watch the Flickr sidebar of rotating photos have noticed–I’ve even managed to upload about 100 or so photos recently and not blog about those events. Sigh.
So, all that said, I’m resigning myself to the fact that I’m behind in photos. To all my close friends, most often pictured in said photos, I will be offering a slideshow retrospective of events from the last year at the soon-to-be-announced (meaning by tonight after I triple-check some dates) kick-off event to our 2nd year of Backyard Dinner & a Movie Night. We really need a better name for this.
Now off to hire an personal assistant to plan the event. I’ll leave you with some NYC moments I’ve captured in the last month–something I’m trying to take in more of, as I find it quite relaxing and thrilling and exciting and…. ohh, OK, here they are.

West Village, found while walking.

Another West Village view, a random side street few notice, as the cross street I’m standing on to take the photo was swamped with folks walking in ever which way.

One of the subway stations I use in lower Manhattan. Though incredibly small and overcrowded inside, one of the most beautifully unique and interesting from the outside.

My coffee cart stand. I get coffee here every day and I can’t recall having “ordered” it in at least a year-and-a-half. They remember. Always. Everyday. Love them.
